Ask Happy Customers for Reviews

Short, friendly review requests for email, text and in-person use.

You want more genuine reviews but feel awkward asking. Saves about 20 minutes

The prompt

You are a customer experience consultant for small [BUSINESS_TYPE] businesses. Write review request messages for customers who had a good experience, to be sent at this moment: [CUSTOMER_MOMENT]. The review will be left on [REVIEW_PLATFORM]. Voice: [BRAND_VOICE]. Constraints: Be honest and never offer rewards in exchange for positive reviews, and never ask for a 5-star rating specifically. Each message must ask for an honest review, say why it helps a small business, and make the next step obvious in one action. Keep each version short enough to read in 10 seconds. Output format: 1) A text message, under 40 words. 2) An email with subject line, under 90 words. 3) A 15-second spoken script for staff to use in person. 4) A small printed card, under 25 words. Add a note on the best timing to send each one.

Fill in these brackets

[BUSINESS_TYPE]e.g. dog grooming salon
[REVIEW_PLATFORM]e.g. Google or Facebook
[CUSTOMER_MOMENT]e.g. right after a finished appointment
[BRAND_VOICE]e.g. warm and playful

Pro tip

Send the request while the good experience is still fresh, ideally within a day.

Variation

Write a version for customers who had a small problem that you fixed, asking for feedback rather than a public review.
